This dye is used as a loading dye for DNA/RNA samples and DNA markers in agarose gels. It contains Bromophenol Blue and Xylene cyanol as tracking dye during electrophoresis. The EDTA is included in the solution to protect sample from nuclease degradation.
Compositioin:
Ficoll: 15%
Dye A: approx 4,000 bp in 1% agrose gel
Dye B: approx 300 bp in 1% agrose gel
DNase RNase: Not detected
Stability 4 °C: 6 months
Absorbance of Solution (dilution 1:100 with deionized water) at 525nm - 0.02-0.08, at 588-594nm - 0.1-0.4, at 635-641nm - 0.05-0.2
